Diaper service agreement

In using The Real Cloth Diaper Company's diaper service, you are agreeing to the terms described in this document, including the rental agreement and instructions for diaper care. The following terms are effective Aug 1st, 2024.

Rental Agreement

Your monthly diaper service subscription includes the rental of up to 2 diaper pails, diaper pail liners, cloth diapers, diaper and cloth wipes. These items remain the property of The Real Cloth Diaper Company and are provided on a rental basis. Diapering products are only to be used for diapering a baby (not as burp cloths, cleaning rags, etc.). Your account is subject to a flat $100 charge in the event any items are not returned to us, or are returned stained or damaged from improper use.

Deliveries

Please place your pail liner filled with dirties in your pickup location by the beginning of your delivery window (this will depend on your delivery location, we will provide) on your weekly delivery day (the diaper pail can stay inside). We'll send a reminder text each week. On your first delivery we will leave you 100 diapers. On each subsequent delivery we will leave you the amount of diapers that you request on your weekly form. If you request bamboo disposables on your weekly form we will deliver those as well (if you subscribe to the Cloth Hero service we will charge $15 for the delivered pack).

Forgot to leave out dirties? It happens! We will still leave your clean diapers. We will pick up the dirties the next week.

Making changes to your service

Use our Customer Subscription Management page to update your payment method, change your subscription type, or cancel your service.

Billing

When you sign up to reserve a spot with our service you will enter your delivery address, cell phone number for text messages, your preference for service level and your payment method used for monthly billing. You will let us know when you would like for us to deliver your initial delivery of diaper pail, liner bag, and cloth diapers. We generally suggest that you have us deliver your initial set of diapers 1 to 2 weeks before your due date. Your subscription service starts on your first dirty diaper pick-up date. Recurring billing is on the 1st of each month. Depending on when you activate your service your first billing cycle will be pro-rated for that first month. You have 4 weeks from your initial delivery date to activate service, each week after will incur a 10% of monthly service rental fee to cover the cost of supplies. Your credit card on file will be charged automatically on a monthly recurring basis for your subscription.

Diaper care

Phase 1: 0-6 months

While your baby is being exclusively breast-fed or formula-fed, simply toss the dirty diaper into the lined diaper pail. No rinsing is needed. Please do not use the diapers as burp cloths, milk tends to create mold very quickly. Eek!

Phase 2: 6+ months

Once baby starts eating solid foods, you may plunk the pasty and/or solid poop into the toilet to reduce diaper pail odor if you wish.

Cancellation

Please provide 2 week notice for cancellation and final pick up of supplies will be made on your last scheduled delivery day in the month of paid service. Your monthly subscription will automatically end on the last day of the month and not renew. If you cancel prior to the end of your billing cycle and request final pickup before the last scheduled delivery, you will not be reimbursed for unused service weeks.
